Offense

Cultural evolution has taken us into a realm of complacency, avoidance, and the pursuit of all things trivial.  Let’s discourse about the things that stir passion, disagreements, and perhaps lead us to a path of empowerment.  Let’s agree to disagree; all the while remaining open to the possibility of intellectual and yes, moral wealth.

The words chosen to appear in front of you are not intended to persuade you but rather allow you to peek into the possibility that you too are chosen.  There are many that don’t yet know they were picked out of a crowd.  Is that you?  Jesus said he came not to condemn but rather to give life and to give it more abundantly. But the Bible also says quite clearly that “The word of the Lord is offensive to them; they find no pleasure in it.”

For, who knows how long, I’m going to write and hopefully dialogue with you concerning the world of politics, music, and literature as they relate to the one true Creator God (oops, have I offended you already?).  I’m a believer and I have many reasons for why there is an overflowing joy in my psyche.  Some of those reasons might offend you, some might make you scoff, and others might make you think in a different way.

If you’re already a believer, I look forward to reading what you have to say.  Iron sharpens iron, right?   Believer or not, please come back often and share with me your thoughts and reactions.

Peace and Love,

Suthern
