“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” 1 Peter 5:8
I strongly urge you to watch a short video (link below) from Good Fight Ministries. I rarely highlight other people’s work on Apologetics With Me because it seems redundant. If someone is really interested, they will probably find it without my help. However, there is little chance of someone finding something if they were never looking in the first place. So my hope is that curiosity will propel you onward – no matter your preconceived level of interest. Keep in mind that it does not matter if you don’t listen to or dislike Katy Perry, because the message is the same concerning many similar artists. Besides, this stuff is FASCINATING!
After viewing the short video, check out another article on the same subject: Satan loves his music (and yours too). I simply desire all of us to be more watchful and protective. We all know people who blindly consume what the world has to offer: your children, extended family members, and friends. Equip yourself and be knowledgeable of the world so that hopefully you can guide others with gentle, loving kindness – towards truth.
You don’t need to start a debate about Katy Perry at the next Super Bowl party. There is no need to scornfully judge other people’s music choices. But why not plant a seed? Pose a question to the mother buying her ten year old daughter tickets to Katy Perry’s next concert: “What do you think about Katy’s video where she poses almost naked with a demon holding her in his arms?” Let the discourse begin. Awareness, enlightenment, and polite conversation can do wonders. But first, you really need to see the battle field clearly. So please, take twenty minutes and watch the following video.
“Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” Galatians 5: 19-21
